Creating a membership site?
Hey there! Welcome back to The Internet Marketing Highway..you've obviously been here before but incase you haven't yet done so, why not subscribe to my RSS feed for regular updates & new content.
I have spent many days at a time researching different options which would allow me to implement the membership site model into my clients’ and my own websites & blogs.
The two options that I would recommend using are Nanacast or WishList Member, depending on your needs.
Below, I will outline some reasons as to why I only recommend these two options if you want to create a membership based website.
Nanacast
- allows unlimited memberships to be created under one account
- Content fully hosted with Nanacast
- ability to setup one-click upsells and genuine one-time-offers (OTO’s) – full sales funnel automation
- time delayed content
- payment gateway integration with PayPal, Authorize.net and 2Checkout
- extensive affiliate management tools (plus function to make new members your affiliates automatically)
- perfect integration with email autoresponders (i use Aweber and it works perfectly with a parser)
- full HTML customisable login/signup/checkout pages
- multiple payment setups – one-off, recurring etc
- ability to pay affiliate commissions directly from control panel
- FULL integration with Disk.com and Kunaki.com and Vervante.com for physical product automation & delivery
- full support desk to help with any queries
- advanced incoming & outgoing API integration
- WordPress plugin with MemberLock
- lots of buttons & graphics for call to actions
Nanacast offer a 7-day trial period on their ‘Viral Premium’ package which allows you to do all of the above plus SO MUCH MORE! All you have to do is sign up and activate the 7-day trial (if their system doesn’t let you do this, just open a support ticket with them and ask them to activate your 7-day trial).
WishList Member
- Easily create different membership levels (i.e. bronze, silver gold etc)
- Easy WordPress installation – control entire membership site from WordPress plugin (nanacast is controlled externally through their own control panel)
- Sequential content delivery (I prefer nanacast for this particular feature)
- Control content for members only with teasers
- Shopping cart integration with paypal, clickbank & more
- easy autoresponder integration
- easy to upgrade/downgrade members to different membership
- very easy control panel interface
- lots of “how to” videos & tutorials
- graphic bank to use for content
- all content is hosted ON your WordPress site (as opposed to Nanacast content which is hosted on Nanacast and not on WordPress)
- 30-day money back guarantee
WishList member do not offer a trial like Nanacast, but they do offer a 30-day money back guarantee so you can buy a licence, test the system and if it’s not for you get a refund. Find out more about WishList Member

Pretty wonderful post, really enlightening information. Never ever considered I’d discover the information I need in this article. I’ve been scouring all around the internet for a while now and had been starting to get disappointed. Fortunately, I happened onto your website and received precisely what I was struggling to find.
Whilst I would’ve valued it much more if you added in a video or at the least photos to support the explanation, I still found your page quite beneficial. It’s often difficult to make a problematic theme look so easy. I enjoy your site and will sign up to your feed so I won’t miss anything. Fantastic articles or blog posts
Interesting article. Were did you got all the information from…
